Inspiration: Can Graphic Designers on Social Media be a Great Source?

Social Media. We love it, we hate it, we use it.

It's no secret that Social Media does have it's downsides, with these downsides being: FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), Cyberbullying, Addicition, Spreading MisInformation and so on.

There are upsides to using Social Media however, and one of them being the discovery of new things, such as music,  fashion, movies, and more. But what if I told you that it can also be a good thing to use to discover Art and Graphic Design?

The truth is: it's a good thing!

I follow a user on Instagram named @oversettext, and he specializes in Graphic Design. He seems to take a unique approach to Graphic Design utilizing various fonts and other design techniques

I think one of the most unique things he uses is a lot of textures, such as grain filters, to give the impression that these prints were vintage, when they were actually made in modern times. And as someone who appreciates vintage graphic design, I do like that he incorporated those into his design pieces

While unconventional, they do showcase what he brings to the table as a Graphic Designer

Today, he still does Graphic Design and he recently opened up a YouTube channel where he posts a lot of Graphic Design related material, as well as a Twitch account where he posts livestreams (Graphic Design, Gaming, etc)

I want to say that these can be great inspirations, for me at least, for Graphic Design. Using these textures, different fonts, photos, and other means of aesthetics can influence and can be inspiring for all Graphic Designers, especially those who are starting out in the Graphic Design world. It's really interesting to see the impact it can cause.

He's not as famous as other graphic designers, but online, he has a cult following, and it seems as though other Instagram users are following his footsteps in the Graphic Design field. So it's clear that his Graphic Design pieces can be an inspiration to many. And it's clear that Social Media can strike to be a Great source of Inspiration for everyone.
